St. Cloud, MN — Netgain announced that Cottage Health System (Cottage) of Santa Barbara, CA, has entered into a partnership that combines Netgain’s hosting services and Greenway Medical Technologies’ PrimeSUITE electronic health record (EHR) solution to support its eHealth Partnership (eHP) initiative.
The eHealth Partnership, the Cottage Health System program operating Cottage’s EHR donation and health information exchange initiatives, will subsidize the cost of Greenway Medical’s PrimeSUITE EHR in Netgain’s hosted environment for Cottage Health System medical staff members.“ We firmly believe that the ability for providers to have electronic health records is an important strategy that supports the electronic exchange of health information,” said Cottage Health System CIO, Alberto Kywi. “Ultimately, health information exchange improves health care delivery and outcomes in our community.”
“We’re starting to see a trend in health systems like Cottage, offering a subsidized EHR to their affiliate clinics. It’s a regional step toward interoperable health records,” said Matt Riley, Netgain’s VP of Operations.
The selection of Greenway® together with Netgain builds on an already strong relationship between the two companies, who have worked together over the years to deploy many common clients in hosted environments.
“Netgain hosts the entire desktop for many practices running PrimeSUITE, so they know the application well and how it operates in a hosted environment,” said Jason Glebe, Enterprise Sales Manager for the Western Region.
Over 100 medical practices affiliated with Cottage Health System will have the opportunity to participate in the subsidized program in which Cottage has negotiated terms with both Netgain and Greenway. Netgain will provide the infrastructure necessary for practices to securely access their PrimeSUITE EHR remotely from their office, home, or mobile device.
As with all of their services, Netgain will provide secure backups of the data, maintenance, management and monitoring of the infrastructure, and help desk support to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Netgain, an eHealth solutions provider based in Minnesota, works to improve the patient experience by managing the IT operations of healthcare providers nationwide.
Netgain’s comprehensive IT solutions benefit healthcare organizations of all sizes and specialties, at all stages of eHealth adoption. By identifying the specific needs of the organizations, Netgain creates a customized IT infrastructure solution with HIPAA-level security, five nines availability and the flexibility to be hosted at Netgain or at the organization’s site.
